We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transformation and Change team at Mercer Super. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

 

Change Manager: 12-month contract. 

The Change Manager will be responsible for leading change management and communication efforts for our Risk Program and partner with senior stakeholders to transform the risk culture and capability at Mercer Super 

 

We will count on you to: 

  • Develop a Change Management and Communications plan, implement the change plan, and review and revise/adjust as required.  

  • Develop and consistently apply change management best practises and interventions across the program and throughout the lifecycle of the workstreams within the Program. 

  • For all workstreams within the program, ensure the key principles of our Change Management framework are applied, including but not limited to; change management and communication plans, change impact assessments, business readiness, change health assessments, training strategies, and plans. 

  • Monitor change management progress across the program, including identifying change management risks and emerging issues, and developing appropriate mitigations and change interventions. 

  • Deliver effective communication plans and training programs to ensure stakeholders are informed and equipped to embrace and adopt change across the program via multiple workstreams. Tailor communication and training materials to different stakeholder groups, by performing capability and competency analysis. 

  • Assess readiness for change and develop strategies to enhance adoption and minimise resistance and change fatigue for multiple stakeholder groups. Provide guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the program, including executive and senior leaders. 

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and support the Program Manager, Project Managers, Portfolio Leader and Change Lead to deliver an uplift in Risk Culture and Capability to meet Mercer Super’s target state. 

 

What you need to have:  

  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a professional services organisation or professional customer services.  

  • Demonstrated experience as a change management practitioner, leading change management efforts for large-scale transformation programs within highly regulated environments. 

  • Demonstrated experience in cultural and organisational change programs.  

  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.  

  • Excellent time management skills. 

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and drive effective decision-making. 

  • Demonstrated senior stakeholder management capabilities. 

  • Ability to work effectively across complex organisations. 

  • Self-motivation with initiative, energy and drive to succeed. 

  • Flexible approach, thriving on change and innovation, balanced by attention to detail, risk management, structured thinking, and empathy for those receiving the changes you will be implementing – an open and curious mindset.
