The Change Management Lead for IT Services plays a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of all IT changes, ensuring they are properly documented, evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, and implemented with minimum risk to the organization's IT environment and its services.
This role focuses on maintaining high levels of service availability and reliability by mitigating the risks associated with change-related incidents.
Responsibilities

Change Management Process: Oversee and maintain the IT Change Management process in line with ITIL best practices, acting as the primary contact for change-related activities. Facilitate CAB meetings, ensuring changes are reviewed, categorized, prioritized, and documented with clear communication.

Risk Management: Evaluate the impact and risks of changes on business operations and IT services, ensuring mitigation plans are in place for high-risk changes while minimizing disruption to end users through stakeholder collaboration.

Planning and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and service owners to ensure changes are thoroughly planned, tested, and implemented, developing detailed change implementation plans with fallback and contingency options while ensuring proper testing and validation before deployment.

Communication: Ensure clear and timely communication of upcoming changes, their status, and potential impacts to stakeholders, business units, and end users, while also sharing outcomes and lessons learned through post-implementation reviews.

Post-Change Review: Conduct post-implementation reviews (PIR) to evaluate change success, capture lessons learned, and track success rates, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and analyze the effectiveness of the change management process, ensuring alignment with ITSM and ITIL frameworks while recommending and implementing improvements.

Compliance and Governance: Ensure IT changes comply with regulatory, security, and audit requirements while maintaining detailed documentation for traceability and audit purposes.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

5-7 years proven experience in IT Change Management, IT Service Management, or related roles.

Experience with ITIL and ITSM frameworks, with a strong understanding of change, incident, and problem management.

ITIL Foundation certification (ITIL v3 or ITIL 4) or equivalent proven experience/knowledge

additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are a plus.

Familiarity with IT change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

Understanding of various IT infrastructure components and enterprise systems (networking, databases, applications).

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-priority tasks.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in managing large-scale changes in complex, global IT environments.

Previous experience working within an IT operations, service delivery, or project management role.
