POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chair Scheduler is responsible for maintaining Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) guidelines for chair product lines produced across domestic and international manufacturing and sourcing channels. This role aligns demand, capacity, material availability, transit considerations, and delivery commitments across global supply points, with a focus on medium-range and long-range planning, cross-functional coordination, and clear communication with internal stakeholders and customers.

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and govern Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) guidelines for chair product lines produced through international manufacturing and sourcing channels.
  • Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and customer service teams to align planning assumptions with global capacity, material availability, transit lead times, and regional sourcing constraints.
  • Assist Dealers, Dealer Support Teams (DST), Dealer Sales Managers (DSM) and submittal Drafters in the pre-sale efforts required to execute reduced lead-time on Federated/Everex chair orders.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communication skills to keep all external and internal stakeholders informed on a regular basis as to the status of critical Chair Velocity orders.
  • Review demand signals, backlog, and available capacity across chair product families to maintain realistic scheduling parameters and identify potential supply, or logistics risks.
  • Analyze capacity trends, international supply flows, and planning data to identify bottlenecks, recommend RCCP guideline adjustments, and support decision-making across chair product lines.
  • Serve as a point of contact for schedule-related customer inquiries, providing clear updates on order status, delivery timing, and potential impacts to commitments.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, delays, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders and customers, escalating risks when needed to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP, MRP, or manufacturing planning systems.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Presentation skills with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field will accept equivalent experience preferred.
  • Exposure to international supplier relationships and materials requirements planning (MRP).
  • Strong knowledge of RCCP, capacity planning, demand forecasting, and product-family planning for chair lines produced through international supply channels.
  • Chair product line knowledge a plus.
  • APICS or other professional certifications a plus.
