Job Description:
Chair of Gastroenterology – Lahey Hospital & Medical Center
Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC), part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, as the new Chair for its Division of Gastroenterology. The role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a team of over 30 gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and advanced practice providers who offer high-quality care for a wide range of GI and liver conditions. The division sees 35,000 outpatients annually and performs 25,000 procedures.
Responsible for implementing the organization's most critical strategies and will strive for excellence across all quality measures.
Oversee physician recruitment, career development, and performance management while guiding new initiatives and process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments and leadership in clinical practice, research, education, and administration.
Oversee day-to-day operations and resource allocation.
Ideal candidates will be board-certified in Gastroenterology, have an academic background suitable for appointment as Associate Professor or Professor, and possess strong leadership skills.
