Focus areas of the Product Certification Engineer are related to all matters regarding product certificates including notified bodies, customers, sub-suppliers and Flowserve Associates.
This is a detail-driven role, requiring regular assessment projects involving other internal teams (engineering, operations, product management, etc.) and regulatory bodies to define and execute product certification plans.
In this role considerable amount of travel can be expected throughout Europe, main focus is on Solna, Sweden and Mezzago, Italy.
Product portfolio: valves, positioners.
Responsibilities:

The primary point of contact for all matters related to product certificates including notifying bodies, customers’, and Flowserve Associates.

Ensure that all existing product certificates are renewed on time and remain current

Coordinate and secure that both current and older product certificates are properly released

Lead certification projects with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, product management) in order to efficiently execute product certification plans

Work across engineering disciplines and product management as well as interface with regulatory agencies to define certification requirements.

Build and maintain strong agency relationships

In conjunction with the Ex-Coordinator ensure the QAN/QAR is maintained and managed properly

Responsible for ensuring the operations and third-party suppliers product procedures are accurate and up to date.

Follow Flowserve/PMV Automation’s quality system while also offering input for improvement

Work under limited supervision while ensuring accuracy and consistency and meeting overall objectives.

Actively work to improve processes and ensure all work meets both agency and customer requirements.

Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of industrial instrument certifications in order to recommend innovations that can improve quality, cost and effectiveness.

Plan and support certification testing
Expectations:

BSc degree in Engineering
-
Ideally five years of related experience
-
Previous involvement with industrial instrumentation and associated product approvals for hazardous area locations

Good knowledge of MS-Office
-
Fluency in English
-
Well adept at reading standards and understanding document requirements

Excellent collaborative and communication skills.

Ability to comfortably interface with any level of the organization

Accustomed to working independently with little supervision
