POSITION SUMMARY
The Centralized Scheduler schedules all imaging procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, lymphadema therapy, cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, pre-operative exams, sleep studies, bariatric fitness evaluations and cardiopulmonary procedures via the Meditech Sceduling module. The Scheduler is the key component in coordinating all aspects of scheduling with all referrers including, but not limited to, obtaining appropriate medical
necessity, proper ICD-10 codes, insurance information, current demographic information, pregnancy status, relaying all prep instructions and workerman's compensation information.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience: Must have excellent typing, computer, verbal and writing skills with knowledge of the hardware involved with those tasks. Must possess good organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, basic patient care.
Required Licenses/Certifications: None.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Must be proficient in Meditech Software, PACs System, MRS System, Windows Office 95 (or newer version) and be able to learn programs specific to the changing task of the job. Must be able to use a variety of computers, laser printers, inkjet printers, multi-line telephones, fax machines, calculators and word processors. Must be able to type at least 35 wpm.
Preferred Qualification: Diagnostic Imaging experience.

7. Ensure all necessary information is obtained at the time of scheduling so appropriate patient care is delivered.
8. Print schedule and provide add-on list to Pre-reg.
9. Reconcile/verify all incoming faxes in Faxcert.

Performs other tasks and assists in other areas as assigned and needed by the Supervisor, Coordinator, Director and Assistant Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiologist or Administrator within our Hospital District. Performs any other tasks to fill the need of the department, hospital and its patients.
