Security & Resiliency Initiative (SRI) is a cross-functional, capital-led program to identify risks in strategic supply chains and deploy financing and advisory solutions—often in partnership with the public sector—to enhance economic security and operational resilience in critical industries.
Join the team that is supporting J.P. Morgan’s SRI business across the globe. The role involves supporting the banking team as part of the Centralized Research Group (CRG) by preparing pitch books and marketing materials, working on deep research, financial valuations, and other supporting materials.
Job Summary:
As SRI Associate within CRG, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact, resilience-focused solutions across critical sectors. You will integrate deep research, financial analysis, and advanced Artificial intelligence (AI) / Large Language Model (LLM) methods to craft investment theses and assess opportunities. You will develop polished, insight-rich presentations and materials for senior clients and internal committees. You will help shape a cutting-edge practice that advances the decade-long commitment to national economic security.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the SRI teams across the globe and support in preparing pitch books & marketing materials that the senior client bankers take to their clients during meetings
- Analyze markets, policies, and supply chains to identify structural risks and resilience opportunities across priority sectors
- Develop and refine investment theses, business cases, and impact assessments to guide capital allocation
- Conduct valuation and transaction analyses including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), trading comps, transaction comps, and Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs)
- Prepare and deliver high-quality materials, internal memos, and committee presentations with executive-ready narratives
- Structure innovative, public-private and blended-finance solutions that align capital, policy, and execution
- Apply AI/LLM tools to accelerate research, generate insights, and enhance quality and speed of deliverables
- Coordinate diligence and risk assessments for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement of playbooks, templates, and research methods
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Excellent academic record
- 3+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Research, Consulting, SRI, Big Four experience or related field
- CA or MBA qualification
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and help develop innovative client solutions
Advanced user of MS Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint
- Close attention to detail and ability to work at very high standards of precision under tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ensure the highest ethical standards and regulatory compliance within the firm
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in sectors critical to economic security (e.g., supply chain, defense, energy, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, critical infrastructure, technology, healthcare)
- Familiarity with supply chain dynamics, industrial policy, national security-related economics, or government programs relevant to public-private investment
- Exposure to blended finance, risk-sharing structures, and public-private partnerships
- Experience coordinating complex diligence processes across multiple stakeholders
- Track record of excellence within investment banking and strong academic foundation
- Pursuing / completed additional financial certifications such as CFA, FRM
- Proficiency with AI/LLM tools and workflows to enhance research, drafting, and analytical tasks is preferred
