The Centralized Research Group (CRG) collaborates closely with the firm’s Global Investment Banking (GIB) teams offering customized financial solutions across Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity / Debt capital raising, among others.  

We are looking for Actuaries with experience in the Global life insurance market. You will work closely with Financial Institutions Group (FIG) senior bankers who cover a variety of clients in the Life Insurance space. 

The typical responsibilities of the role include:

  • Primary responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and engage in research with respect to life insurance companies to support customized financial solutions across various investment banking services
  • Collaborate across regions to evaluate insurance market conditions, follow client and sector developments, and propose  client-focused opportunities
  • Collaborate with global teams to prepare diverse marketing and analytical materials, support RfPs, and independently contribute to execution projects such as presentations, information memoranda, and due diligence documents
  • Play a proactive role in supporting the various client engagements which may span across actuarial due diligence, reserves valuation, etc.
  • Lend support on research aimed at providing key insights to help our clients

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Member of Institute of Actuaries (UK) , SoA and CAS of US and/or Institute of Actuaries of India and must have passed significant actuarial exams from any of these institutes
  • At least 7-8 years’ experience working in actuarial role in consultancy or industry in life insurance
  • Ability to “own” projects, take initiative, and ability to find solutions that balance actuarial and project requirements
  • Strong communication skills (written as well as verbal) and an ability to precisely articulate thoughts
  • Knowledge of accounting, analyzing company financials and financial modeling in MS Office applications. Ability to efficiently multi-task and handle multiple deliverable / projects
  • Close attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality output under pressure
  • Strong team player demonstrating integrity and ability to work with teams across geographies. Pro-active, self-starter and an ability to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical bent of mind and quantitative skills. Ability to analyze / interpret large sets of data and provide thoughtful insights and conclusion
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards and regulatory compliance within the firm

Skills Required

  • Membership in a recognized actuarial body (Institute of Actuaries UK, SOA/CAS US, or Institute of Actuaries of India) with substantial exam progress
  • 7-8 years actuarial experience in consultancy or industry within life insurance
  • Experience with actuarial due diligence, reserves valuation, IFRS17, margin analysis, and actuarial valuation
  • Ability to own projects, take initiative, and deliver solutions balancing actuarial and project requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate complex thoughts clearly
