Position Title: Central Scheduling Representative
Position Summary: Schedule outpatient diagnostic testing in a call center setting. Obtain accurate demographic information to start the pre-registration process and maintain accurate patient medical records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
- Read doctor’s orders to accurately schedule patient appointments.
- Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information over the phone.
- Provides patients with accurate information on test preparation and procedures
- Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
- Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Medical terminology preferred but not required.
- Ability to provide caring and compassionate service over the phone.
- Able to utilize Microsoft Outlook (Office) and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficient in typing and utilizing multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Central Scheduling, outpatient registration or customer service preferred.
