The Role

Job Description:

The Enhanced Scheduler is responsible for registering and scheduling patients at Intermountain Healthcare facilities system-wide ensuring that processes and procedures exceed customer expectations. This position enhances the patient experience with one telephone call to schedule and register for services. The Enhanced Scheduler reviews insurance benefit information, estimated costs, and payment options with the patient. Also obtains or reviews all necessary demographic, clinical, procedural, and prep information with the patient or representative. This position also enhances the Provider experience by offering a single point of contact for the referring offices. The Enhanced Scheduler acts as a liaison between the physician office and facility departments across multiple service lines within the enterprise.Scope
As a Lead Scheduler/Auditor you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:
Lead team in continual processes of, standardization, accuracy in all areas, and dedication to improvement- Direct and provide training in scheduling and auditing and model service centered behaviors- Prompt processing of scheduling requests and review schedule, assist in getting surgeon block releases- Reconcile submission of vendor charges for patient specific, non- inventory implants and supplies with the OR case charges- Audit individual cases for appropriate OR charges, including time and material, implants and supplies- Manual charge special items as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent- Minimum of two (2) years experience working in revenue cycle related activity such as a business office, billing operation, registration function, medical scheduling- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast paced, service oriented environment- Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$18.81 - $26.65
