Air Products and Chemicals Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking a Central Sales Microbulk Account Representative to join the team at its corporate headquarters in Allentown, PA.

This position within the IG Americas Central Sales South team is responsible for handling a Microbulk portfolio of approximately 300 customer accounts, representing $11.5 million in annual revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Renew existing Microbulk merchant contracts within the South sub-region.
  • Drive pricing and surcharge initiatives to support business growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and support.
  • Negotiate and improve contract terms and conditions.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Achieve established sales, revenue, and growth targets in a competitive market.
  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Gases (IG) Microbulk Field Sales Representatives.
  • Support and strengthen the Inside/Outside sales model through joint customer engagement.
  • Develop strategies to retain existing customers and expand market share.
  • Supervise customer needs and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide responsive customer service and resolve commercial issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, account activity, and contract documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Financial competence
  • Commercial industrial gas selling experience a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial gas contract language and negotiations
  • Understanding of Microbulk business, offerings and equipment is helpful
  • Self-starter with strong desire to succeed in a complex internal and external environment
  • Ability to work as part of a larger selling team
  • Adaptable and detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to access and safely operate a reliable personal vehicle on an ongoing basis.

Travel:

  • Limited travel required: 1-2 trips per year to South Region (US customer) base and 1-2 trips per year for Sales Meetings.
  • Candidate must be willing to work flexible hours to align with customer base.
