This role leads call center and pre-registration operations to support customer service and revenue cycle goals. It supervises eligibility verification, new patient scheduling, and staff assignments, while monitoring performance metrics, managing returned mail updates, and supporting system enhancements to ensure efficient and accurate workflows.
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 6-9 months of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule. Training may be hybrid as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversees call center operations to meet customer service and revenue cycle outcomes and standards
  • Supervises pre-registration processes for all practices including hospital encounters, extended facilities and both lab and pathology referrals from non-Atrius practices
  • Manages eligibility verification procedures for all scheduled and urgent care appointments
  • Directs and assigns all work assignments for special registration projects as needed
  • Measures and manages staff production by using various reports found in Epic
  • Monitor and produces monthly reporting call center and collections performance metrics
  • Supervises address updates for returned mail including both patient statements
  • Provides testing and implementation support for NEHEN upgrades and enhancements
  • Oversees new patient scheduling process according to practice procedures

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years working in health insurance
  • Experience writing/conducting staff performance reviews
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with EPIC's Practice Management System, specifically Prelude and Resolute

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Reside within commutable distance to the office at Chelmsford MA
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $49,700 - $88,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
