Crafting your Journey
We are looking for an experienced cellar hand to work at Kim Crawford Winery, Marlborough. Reporting to the Production Leader, this role is a great opportunity for an experienced Cellar Hand to develop their winemaking a management skills and further their career.
- Leading small teams for up to 6 staff during harvest.
- Following all safety procedures, ensuring proper PPE, incident reporting, etc
- Harvest operations, including supervising, crushing and pressing
- Oversee training with Diemme and Della Toffola presses and Piquette Production.
- Assist with the cellar operations around blending, fining, clarification, preparation and despatch
Your Grape Qualities
- At least 3 years’ experience in a medium to large winery and working harvest.
- Experienced Cellar hand in all general cellar duties including ability to Supervise a Receival/Press team at Harvest. This will require experience with Diemme and Della Toffola presses and Piquette Production.
- Experience leading a small team or working as a supervisor training staff.
- A reasonable level of fitness, as harvest requires 12-hour shifts, 6 days per week
- A current driver’s licence, forklift certified preferred
- Practical approach to solving problems and a can-do attitude
