Position Title: Technical Operations Manager CE (CAPEX)

Mission: The Technical Operations CAPEX Manager oversees end-to-end capital support for capital projects, ensuring they meet critical success factors and use optimal technologies. They lead CQV and support SUM, ensure seamless transitions between functions, and build a flexible, globally servicing team.
Key responsibilities:
Process Design and Specifications:
- Lead mass balance for process flow design and User Requirement Specifications (URS) following global standards and meeting critical success factors as outlined in the project charter.
- Refer and approve to completed drawings, technical details, Commissioning (CQV) checklists, and FDS (functional design specifications) within assigned package(s).
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
- Manage communication with engineering, technical, and operational stakeholders to include User Requirements, feedback, and alignment with the team.
- Ensure collaboration with the Project Management team to follow Best Practices covering Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, and Risk Management.
- Provide regular updates to the Project team and management team, including the escalation of issues that require support.
Safety and Compliance:
- Oversee safety is a priority in both designs and execution of the commissioning.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by applying both McCain and local policies and regulations.
Commissioning and Start-up Support:
- Monitor and flag potential deficiencies in the processing equipment installation.
- Communicate issues and solutions to the Overall CQV Leader and work with them on resolutions.
- Lead multiple Technical Operations Module Leaders in commissioning their respective processing modules and provide start-up support.
- Identify and prioritize solutions for any delays in commissioning
Risk Management:
- Highlight and manage risks through the project risk management process.

Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude, mechanical/electrical engineering, and/or plant automation, with the ability to improve process efficiencies - (Process engineering)
- Experience with electrical and controls systems design and programming
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to understand process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and process narratives
- Experience in training and facilitation
- Knowledge of processing equipment, processing methods, manufacturing philosophies and basic manufacturing SOP's
- Expertise in the validation and effectiveness of new technologies
- Experience with start-up management concepts and equipment commissioning
- Proficient in English and German
- Autonomous, agile, accountable, data driving, problem-solving, coaching
- Project management & presentation skills
- Lean manufacturing or six sigma is a plus
- +8 to 10years of experience: Manufacturing, R&D, Technical Operations or technical support function in the food manufacturing industry, preferably the potato processing industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering
- Extensive experience in the design, execution (CQV), and start up of phases of major capital projects in the potato processing industry
