(1)To operate company trucks for the delivery of materials to customers. (2) Perform required maintenance on trucks and trailers. (3) Support the sales and customer service functions in compliance with state, federal and local ordinances and/or laws, customer specifications, company policies and/or procedures.
Knowledge and Skills:As a condition of employment, drivers must hold and retain a valid Kansas State Commercial Driver's License (CDL)with no background of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) infractions. Working knowledge of DOT regulations as they apply to sizes and weights of loads allowable on transport vehicles. Accurate knowledge of industry standards and procedures relative to material handling. Knowledge of and skill in identifying a variety of material compositions, configurations ,sizes and weights. Knowledge of and skill in the operation and maintenance of material handling equipment and all accessory tools/equipment. Ability to demonstrate appropriate safe‑work habits and practices. Ability to demonstrate skill in the accurate completion of DOT Log Books and required company documentation.
Skills Required
