What You’ll Be Doing  

The Manufacturing and Quality Tech@Lilly (IT) organization is on a multi-year journey to implement the Next Generation application replacing existing system through a multi year journey. These project have high visibility within the organization and directly impact making medicine for our patients.

As an Associate Director part of Data Integration and Analytics (DIA) department of Tech@Lilly you will be integrated in the Quality Intelligence program. As part of this program you will lead and deliver BI solutions for the benefit of the Quality department of all M&Q affiliate. Especially you will join and lead a team of contractors aiming to deliver new BI solutions leveraging Next Generation global solutions delivered by other global IT teams (Global  MES, Global LIMS, New CAPA solution etc… ). In your mission  you will:

  • Analyse solution requirement as part of interaction with business
  • Contribute to solution design definition
  • Investigate and recommend the best architecture to enable desired goals
  • Analyse data sources and recommend the best data wrangling / mashup options
  • Lead delivery of several solution of the Quality Intelligence program
  • Lead validation for several solution of the Quality Intelligence program
  • Support the delivery of new solutions and architecture part of the Quality Intelligence program to any new affiliate of Lilly;
  • Manage data solution life cycle impact and security management for internal and third party components related to Quality Intelligence program.

 

How You’ll Succeed  

  • You will be capable to apprehend and integrate new system data model by investigating, analyzing and testing data queries and maintaining data models of the analyzed solutions;
  • You will define appropriate design of solution per the business expressed needs in conjunction with Quality Intelligence leaders.
  • You will drive technical delivery of new BI solution leveraging data from both Next Generation (NG) global systems and existing solution data through the management of external contractor resources;
  • You will identify solutions to complex technical, architectural, data integration and performance problems;
  • You will ensure delivery and validation of Quality Intelligence solutions are achieved in accordance with DIA and Quality Intelligence program plan.
  • You will ensure Quality Intelligence solutions,  its interfaces and the related architecture are kept aligned with current architecture, validation  and security standards by connection with Cybersecurity Lilly team, CSQA Lilly team and Lilly M&Q architects;
  • You will keep outside focus to identify new trends and opportunities, to contribute to the Quality Intelligence and DIA roadmap in cooperation with the Quality Intelligence leaders;
  • You will act as coach/mentor of global Quality Intelligence team members and others on BI technologies or NG data model.

 

 

What You Should Bring 

  • Strong data analyzing skills to apprehend complex system and integrate them successfully;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues;
  • Understanding of GMP requirements and experience delivering within those requirements and constraints;
  • Good interpersonal and self-management skills;
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with ability of transition between business and technical discussions;
  • Broad learning agility;
  • Ability to lead/manage small/medium projects in an autonomous way.
  • Ability to lead/manage a team of resource;
  • Additional Experience in the following would be preferred but not required:  
  • Knowledge of Computer System Validation process;
  • Knowledge of a MES (e.g. Rockwell Pharmasuite, PMX, Emerson Syncade)  its architecture, its integration with other solutions, and how it is used to support the business processes;
  • Knowledge of a LIMS (e.g. Thermo Darwin or  Sample Manager, Lab Vantage solution)  its architecture, its integration with other solutions, and how it is used to support the business processes;
  • Knowledge of a LES (e.g. Dassault Smartlab solution)  its architecture, its integration with other solutions, and how it is used to support the business processes;
  • Knowledge of SAP QM and Supply modules,  its architecture, its integration with other solutions, and how it is used to support the business processes;
  • Knowledge of CAPA systems (e.g. Sparta Trackwise , Service Now solution, Veeva One QMS …)   its architecture, its integration with other solutions, and how it is used to support the business processes;

 

Your Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
  • Fluent English written and spoken;
  • 5+ years technical experience in delivery of IT solutions (Laboratory or supply experience preferred);
  • Solid experience of the laboratory and supply processes (Pharmacy domain experience preferred);
  • Solid understanding of the GMP solution and of the validation of GMP systems
  • Solid experience in BI solution development and support.
  • Solid experience in BI eco system integration and security.

 

Additional information 

  • As this position will contribute to Quality system critical processes, occasional off hours and weekend work is expected;
  • Main work location is expected to be Fegersheim.
  • Some (10-15%) domestic and/or international travel will be required.
