Main Duties and Responsibilities
Trade Marketing Manager – Laos is responsible for owning and leading the channel strategy for Laos. This role ensures the effective translation of category strategies into actionable channel plans, driving execution excellence in the market while building future-fit capabilities aligned with Unilever’s strategic direction.
Channel Strategy Ownership
Develop and lead the overall channel strategy for Laos in alignment with business objectives.
Ensure integration of category strategies into channel plans that deliver growth and profitability.
Budget Management
Manage and optimize the CBD budget for Laos, specifically for BMI investments.
Monitor and report on budget utilization to ensure ROI and compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with CSP and market teams to align category strategies with channel execution plans.
Partner with CD Excellence and Field teams to translate strategies into market realities.
Capability Building
Drive capability development for the channel team in line with Unilever’s strategic priorities (e.g., AI-led solutions, Perfect Store execution).
Lead initiatives to enhance team skills and tools for superior channel performance.
Execution Excellence
Ensure flawless implementation of channel plans in GT, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices.
Continuously monitor market performance and adapt strategies as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of GT channel dynamics and category management.
3–5 years in Sales, Channel Management, or Customer Development within FMCG.
Proven experience in channel strategy development and execution.
Financial acumen for budget management and ROI analysis.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Ability to lead capability-building initiatives and drive change.
Familiarity with digital tools and AI-led solutions for channel optimization.
Growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong influencing and communication skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results under pressure.
