CCBHC Data and Systems Analyst 

Summary of Responsibilities

The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Data & Systems Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide insights that support business decision-making and ensures we are compliant with the data collection, reporting, and tracking requirements of a CCBHC. This role involves working with large datasets, developing reports and visualizations, and ensuring data integrity. The CCBHC Data & Systems Analyst will collaborate with various management personnel to interpret data trends and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, report, and track encounter, outcome, and quality data in accordance with SAMHSA CCBHC Certification Criteria in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain service codes, CPT codes, program codes, and related EHR logic
• Maintain system data dictionaries 
• Create datasets needed in our EHR to successfully transmit PPS claims to Alabama Medicaid Agency(AMA) and shadow billing to the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH)
• Submit PPS claims to AMA for CCBHC triggering events in an accurate and timely manner.
• Submit shadow claims to the ADMH for CCBHC services in an accurate and timely manner.  
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor business performance.
• Perform PPS monitoring monthly to help identify and address potential issues before the cost report is reviewed by ADMH/Medicaid at year-end.
• Ensure our EHR can produce the datasets needed for the cost report
• Provide troubleshooting and identify appropriate solutions to staff issues with the EHR.
• Assist users in creating reports to meet their needs
• Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable HIPAA, HITECH, and other data security policies
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary within established policy and procedures

Required Qualifications and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or information technology setting.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, form design, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Understanding of statistical methods and data modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
