The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a CBG BSC Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Accelerate product development and commercialization across our Consumer Business Group both externally with our strategic design-engineering-manufacturing partner(s) and internally across cross-functional teams currently involved in our new product development process.
• Serve as the primary management interface between our company and the external development partner (DEM) translating 3M internal requirements into actionable engineering plans and ensure program readiness at each phase.  Challenge the status quo to reduce cycle time and accelerate decision velocity without compromising product integrity, safety, and quality.
• Serve as the primary interface to multiple internal 3M teams across R&D, Industrial Design, Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing
• Leading the largest projects and programs in CBG with high visibility to CBG Executives.
• Work on projects in various functional areas expanding your knowledge of CBG and 3M.
• Build your leadership skills in Project Management by learning World Class practices in executing large projects.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Ten (10) years of experience in Manufacturing, Business, or Planning in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement tools & techniques.
• Knowledge of CBG products and businesses.
• Leadership Skills in leading cross functional groups at all levels in the organization.
• Plant experience in 3M factories.
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and execution skills.
• Excellence in PowerPoint & Excel data analysis skills.
• Proven expertise working with ODM/JDM/contract manufacturing partners. Expertise in navigating complicated third party supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of new product development (NPD) processes from concept through mass production.
• Demonstrated success leading complex technical programs and cross-functional teams.
• Track record of delivering results in high-ambiguity, fast-paced environments.
• Consumer hardware or consumer products experience.
• Experience with accelerated development or parallel path development.
• Knowledge of manufacturing scaling and global supply chain.

Work location:  On-site (4 days per week) St. Paul 3M Center

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
