Job Description

We are looking for a Supervisor at Robert Smyth Academy, in Market Harborough who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. We are looking for an organised, hard-working and approachable leader to be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen. You should be passionate about delivering an efficient service to our students whilst ensuring we maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.

The role:

  • £14.71 per hour
  • 30 paid hours per week working Monday – Friday
  • Term-time only – working 39 weeks per year

You will support the management team in the smooth running of the operation including ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are applied continuously, as well as supporting with training, recruitment and reaching financial targets. You will set a great example for your team by delivering excellent customer service and ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers.

Skills Required

  • Enhanced DBS disclosure (safeguarding children and vulnerable adults)
  • Apply and maintain food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a catering or kitchen environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and approachable leadership
  • Ability to support training, recruitment and meet financial/operational targets
  • Willingness to work term-time schedule (30 paid hours/week, Monday-Friday)
