Job Overview
  
The Category Quality Support Manager ensures Unilever's specifications, standards, and quality controls are implemented according to internal and external regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for integrating quality and food safety into factory operations and driving improvements to ensure product safety and overall quality, addressing consumer and customer requirements. 
 
Collaborates with the Site Quality Leader and directly reports to the Business Unit Quality Leader  
 
Role Responsibilities: 

  • The scope of the role is catering to on-site mixing and packing operations.  
  • Decision making directly impacts consumer safety and quality of UL products in the marketplace with implications on UL reputation and brand equity. Is a key role in mitigation and management of UL Corporate Operational Risk (Design and production of products that meet our environmental, consumer safety and quality standards).
  • Supports data collection, analysis and assignment to standard Quality loss trees in support of operational KPIs reporting.
  • Drives digitization agenda  to ensure Unilever specifications are followed throughout the factory process.
  • Responsible for site required actions necessary to manage factory quality incidents + external complaints / incidents. 
  • Leads in Quality Pillar activities in the Category for the UMS Factory.
  • Supports ensuring UL required IT systems, practices, loss trees and improvement tools are used to reduce / eliminate quality losses.
  • Leads structured quality improvement activities related to customer, consumer issues and PQS gaps.
  • Leads process capability studies to maintain alignment between process capability and specification limits in processing and filling operations. 
  • Supports VIP projects as appropriate for Site Quality. 
  • Utilizes advanced statistical knowledge to support process capability studies to maintain alignment between capabilities of site processing and filling operations and specification limits. 
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of category / technology details and requirements to support site innovation / changes. 
  • ICQA Management.
  • Direct supervisor for Quality engineers / Quality Analysts. 

 

Qualifications:
 
Essential:

  • Must have a Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science or Microbiology degree 
  • Experience in Quality or Manufacturing
