Redaptive is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with various suppliers, installers, and service providers to deliver cost savings while achieving the highest quality and timely delivery of Redaptive projects. Additionally, you will use your excellent communication skills, project management experience, and industry knowledge to effectively build a supplier portfolio in the Lighting/HVAC/Mechanical verticals. You will also partner with internal stakeholders to develop a top-down strategy, drive efficiencies, and positively influence company objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop category strategies for the Lighting/HVAC/Mechanical manufacturing lines.
- Identify and develop a portfolio of qualified supply options.
- Lead negotiations with providers in the Lighting/HVAC/Mechanical space
- Develop and execute cost models – understand how significant cost drivers impact category strategy.
- Manage supply base by establishing and maintaining measurable performance metrics for your portfolio.
- Drive year on year cost savings while mitigating company exposure.
- Project Management – work cross functionally with internal stakeholders (Ops, Product, Sales, Partner Management, Legal) to build alignment on both specific projects and category strategy.
- Contract management – review and negotiate commercial terms – high familiarity with legal terms and conditions.
- Understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology outlook.

Education and Experience
- BA or BS degree in a relevant concentration preferred or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in commodity management/category management/supply chain management/ops.
- CSCP (APICS) or CPSM (ISM) is a plus.
- Experience with both commodity and service offerings is a plus.
- Experience/exposure in any of the following: Lighting, HVAC, electrical, building engineering, building construction, metering, manufacturing, or other related industries.
Travel
- Up to 25% of travel time expected for the position, with overnight stays, while attending conferences and meetings with suppliers.
