This position is on-site in our Houston headquarters.

RequirementsWhat you’ll do:
- Develop and lead strategic sourcing strategies for Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) and Capital Expenditure (Capex) categories
- Negotiate complex, high-value contracts that balance cost efficiency, reliability, and innovation
- Manage supplier performance and build long-term partnerships aligned with Verdant’s project and operational goals
- Partner with Engineering to advance capital projects through FEL stage gates by driving supplier strategy, cost optimization, and contract execution
- Collaborate globally to align category strategies with business priorities and sustainability objectives
- Stay ahead of market trends, feedstock dynamics, and regulatory shifts across the specialty chemical and energy sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, ideally in chemicals, oil & gas, or manufacturing
- Strong contract negotiation and financial analysis skills
- Experience using SAP, BI tools, and Excel for data-driven decision-making
- A proactive, self-directed leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
