Job Description
Working closely with APAC Marketing Executives and other leaders, you will be responsible for designing and executing marketing procurement category strategies that deliver value to the organization. Marketing represents a material category of spend at SEEK and this newly created role is an exciting opportunity to deliver value in a greenfield space for strategic sourcing.
The scope of the role includes the end-to-end Digital Media ecosystem and processes including media planning and buying, content creation, media vendors management, execution technologies, media enhancements and business intelligence
Your position within the business will also provide you with the ability to identify strategic opportunities to continually improve our workflows as well as drive these changes internally. An ability to gain credibility with internal stakeholders and drive towards a defined strategic direction is essential. An in-depth understanding of the supply market for each category, and the ability to determine opportunities for cost reduction and supplier enhancement is critical.
Day to Day
- Lead the marketing category strategy and procurement events for marketing across APAC
- Negotiate major creative, media (online and offline) and other contracts (i.e. branded merchandise)
- Drive the development of commercial and supplier management capabilities and know-how within APAC Marketing Procurement
- Partner with Marketing to provide incisive reporting, recommended improvements and establish robust governance across functions
Qualifications
- Qualification in business, legal, technology or other relevant discipline
- Proven experience in a range of marketing procurement events and category management
- Deep knowledge of marketing, digital and offline media
- Extensive experience in contract review, analysis and negotiation
- Existing relationships across the industry, or experience in a marketing role will be of value
- Experience building and negotiating commercial models, performance regimes and risk management
- Proficiency at stakeholder management and supplier performance reviews
