Your Role and Responsibilities :
Work model: onsite
Core Function
- Understand the cost structure, basic technical knowledge, and risk level of the responsible category(C&H/Connector/Electronics).
- Based on global category strategy, manage the partnership development of selected suppliers and evaluate new supplier’s opportunities.
- Bring early technologies proposal to SCM and R&D to contribute to the product technical road map.
- Structure and drive QBR/Workshop towards Cable/Connector/Electronics suppliers at global level. Supervise the supplier performance towards agreed achievement targets and risk limitation.
- Proactively define an implementation (in collaboration with internal ABB team and supplier) on cost cut program and proceed to reach target.
- Support Risky component process efficiency with component dual source recommendations
- Pilot Negotiation of allocated suppliers and align with group team activities (Negotiation/Strategy workshop/Distribution/contract…)
- Applies and implements ABB SCM standard, tools and processes.
- Contribute to the category team for total supply chain optimization that continuously improves supply PPM, lead time, VMI , capacity growth.
Shared Function (With other categories sourcing)
- Manage sourcing and RP projects that optimize total Cost of Ownership (TCO), rationalize supplier base, improve quality and delivery, reduce supply risk (Dual source) and secure design change.
- Manage RFQ and lead the category team with ASQE and Material planner to make sourcing decisions.
- Support global NPI project by bringing SCM value from design stage.
- Focus on collaboration with R&D in BOM definition and management from concept stage.
Qualifications for the Role:
- Bachelor or above,major in Mechanics/Automation/Engineering related.
- At least 5 years+ work experience with cable harness/Connector/Electronics background in multinational company Solid knowledge of Cable Harness/Connectors/Electronics product and component sourcing
- Supplier negotiation and partnership development experience
- Good communication skill and execution
- Result orientation
- Self-discipline, self-motivation
- Can work under pressure
- Fluent in Chinese and English, both written and spoken;
- Team work and collaboration
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Have experience in SAP
- Work with multi-functional team under multi-culture environment.
