We’re looking for a talented Category Management Consulting Manager who expects more from their career. It’s an opportunity to work with a market-leading business to consult with our clients on their Category Management practices, assortment and layout optimization.

Joining our Capabilities team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to combine experience in the Category Review process with expertise in our tools to deliver category growth for our clients. You'll help our Sales and Client teams win new Category Management business with new and existing clients and to support the development of Category Management expertise of  team members in the region. You’ll lead Category Management innovation and identify opportunities to position dunnhumby as thought leaders at the cutting edge of Category Management.

What we expect from you:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • 10 years of experience in: working with retailers and manufacturers in embedding customer insight in existing category management processes; Delivering business value through customer insights, customer knowledge and customer focused business change; Working with Customer analytics tools and Assortment optimization tools with Retailers and CPG companies.
  • At least 5 years of experience: Supporting Category Management processes for a retailer, ensuring review calendar alignment and compliance; Supporting CPGs on their work as Category Advisors for a retailer within their Category Management process; Delivering and working to embed Category Management services within Retailers and CPGs processes.
  • Support Category Management mobilization in new markets (including process mapping with at least 3 years of experience) and ensure full handover to market teams for successful change management.
  • Consolidate and update CatMan best practices and set guidelines through playbooks and documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management expertise, both internally and externally 
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of time as required to support sales pitches and demos, user training, and team activities.
