Job Description- End-to-end management of red meat, poultry, processed meat, and fish categories.
- Managing supplier selection processes, contract negotiations, and price agreements.
- Developing competitive purchasing strategies through continuous market monitoring and price analysis.
- Optimizing stock management, demand planning, and waste (shrinkage) control processes.
- Ensuring all products meet food safety and quality standards.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in purchasing or category management within the relevant food categories.
- Deep expertise in fresh and frozen food products.
- Strong background in supplier management and advanced negotiation techniques.
- Data-driven approach with high analytical thinking capabilities.
- Proficient in food safety regulations and cold chain logistics/processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
- A robust network of suppliers within the meat and fish market.
- Previous experience in the retail sector is a must.
- Experience in Private Label (PL) product development is a plus.
