  • Identify opportunities for seasonal product introductions and develop exit strategies for slow-moving inventory.
  • Define pricing structures that balance competitiveness, margin optimization, and perceived value for guests.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure better pricing, quality, and exclusivity for retail locations.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional agreements with vendors to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to product quality standards, delivery timelines, and ethical sourcing guidelines.
  • Curate an appealing product mix across categories such as Clothes, Accessories, Beachwear; Stationery, Beverages, Children, Cosmetics & Wellness; and Food, Souvenirs, Other.
  • Work closely with merchandising teams to ensure effective product placement, planogram compliance, and in-store visibility.
  • Adapt product offerings based on guest profiles, tourist seasons, and regional preferences.
  • Partner with operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of displays, promotions, and branding elements.
  • Develop category-specific pricing strategies to align with market positioning and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to design and implement targeted promotional campaigns that drive sales.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize sales data to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Work with supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products.
  • Identify trends in customer demand and recommend adjustments to category inventory planning.
  • Take ownership of category revenue, profit margins, and budget planning.
  • Conduct sales performance analysis, identifying key drivers of revenue and areas for improvement.
  • Implement cost-control initiatives and negotiate supplier contracts to improve category profitability.
  • Work closely with hotel, restaurant, and leisure center management to align retail strategies with guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to execute category plans effectively.
  • Provide regular category performance insights to senior management and suggest strategic adjustments.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Category Management, Retail Analytics, or Merchandising is a plus.
  • 2+ years in category management, merchandising, or procurement, preferably in hospitality or leisure retail.
  • Strong skills in sales forecasting, consumer insights, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Expertise in pricing, supplier negotiations, and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to plan stock levels and forecast demand.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and category management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for supplier and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments with seasonal demand fluctuations.

Skills Required
