Purpose:

The Commercial Transformation organization in CCA spans fields to:

  • Define a winner Route to consumer pathway.

  • Stablish a Partner Transformation strategy.

  • Boost Digital Transformation.

  • Develop Sales Capabilities.

  • Support for outstanding customer collaboration.

  • Create a Customer Centricity organization.

  • Generate best-in-class shopper understanding and insights.

  • Compelling category strategies.

  • Value creating Category development.

  • Effective shopper marketing to support conversion at POS.

The Category Management for CCA works with Diageo Commercial, Diageo Customer Marketing, and our Key Accounts teams to identify the channel and category opportunities to guarantee outstanding physical availability and disproportionate sell outgrowth. they will influence accounts to drive successful implementation of Category Management agenda.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Drive, along with involved areas (sales, commercial) the development of category management projects and CATMAN implementations for Key Accounts / Retailers

  • Delivering and implementation of a differentiated range, assortment, and layout recommendations in assigned accounts.

  • Track and analyze category performance metrics, including sales data, market share and profitability, to evaluate the success of category initiatives and make date-driven decisions.

  • Implement CATMAN initiatives looking for growth and profitability from Retailers and Diageo and in accordance with trade investment policies.

  • Find opportunity gaps and volume potential to Diageo and the category.

  • Responsible for scorecard creation, measurement, & benchmarking versus objectives.

  • Ensures full compliance with CARM and Diageo Code of Conduct and DMC. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or related field.

  • English and Spanish required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and / or customer marketing / trade marketing and category management areas with specific experience of distributor-based businesses.

  • Understanding about how the total sales organization operates and how to drive its effectiveness.

  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively internally and externally with good influential and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work around and within a variety of different market conditions and demographic factors.

  • Strong analytical, presentation and project management skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, tenacious with commercial drive and commercial curiosity.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Planogram software are highly valued.

Flexible working options

  • Role is ideally based in Costa Rica but there is flexibility for Panama based.

This role requires traveling locally within the market and within CCA (estimated 10%) and effective usage of virtual communication channels rather than face-to-face meetings with the rest of the CCA organization
