Job Description

Title: Casual, Communications

Location: New Bond Street, London

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the department, communicating effectively with the media and colleagues from around the world, in person, on the telephone and by email, and provide day-to-day departmental support.
  • Provide departmental support, including:
    • Deal with press enquiries, such as image requests, and liaise with the relevant press officer contact on further enquiries 
    • Go through and compile a daily media coverage report, which is sent via email to the company worldwide
    • Support the communications team during photo calls in the galleries, and help prepare accompanying press materials 
    • Help prepare written materials and historic and analytical data ahead of the major sales in London 
    • Support the communications team during auctions, fielding enquiries from journalists 
    • Support the Communications coordinator / office manager on day-to-day tasks

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

  • Degree level or equivalent qualification
  • A strong academic record
  • Ideally with 6-months to 2-years of work experience
  • Adaptive, positive attitude, multi-tasker, team player, strong work ethic, leadership skills with a curiosity and passion for learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a pressured environment and handle high level of responsibility
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently in order to achieve deadlines
  • Occasional long hours required, included late evenings and weekends during sale deadlines, exhibitions and auctions
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
