Cash Management Operations, Sr. Associate
Nuveen Global Investment Organization has an opportunity for a Cash Management Operations, Sr. Associate to be a part of our Investment Operations organization. Our Investment Operations function encompasses end-to-end exception management related to cash reporting/oversight. This is achieved through various systematic, written, and verbal interactions with accounting teams, front office, and middle office teams, as well as custodian banks. The group is also responsible for managing third-party foreign exchange with external vendors, internal front office/board reporting and best execution reporting/analytics.
The Senior-level Associate will collaborate and provide mentorship to a high performing team within a fast paced, high-pressure environment. We are seeking an individual who has experience with reconciliation, and cash management. In addition, has a working knowledge of foreign exchange, all asset classes, ability to perform analyses and understands full investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide oversight of cash reporting across varying products, asset classes and mandates
- Perform vendor oversight related to third-party foreign exchange as well as trade routing through the order management system.
- Develop ad hoc and periodic reports, presentation materials and communications for use in various internal forums and committees, including investment committee reporting.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks completely and accurately in a high-pressured environment.
- Take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness by developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, and by identifying and planning the execution of best practices to reduce cost and mitigate risk.
- Foster effective communication within and across business teams
- Communicate with business lines and with external vendors.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite of products (particularly Excel and macros/VBA)
- Mentor junior staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience working in investment operations or within a financial services organization.
- Experience working with reconciliation, and cash management.
- Knowledge of full investment lifecycle.
- Experience working with asset classes.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in investment management or financial services operations.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange/non-US markets.

Base Pay Range: $76,600/yr. - $110,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
