Pay Range:
$22.00 - $30.25We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Cash Applications Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately recording and reconciling incoming payments from customers to ensure timely and accurate processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments from customers and accurately apply them to the appropriate accounts
- Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and record daily deposits and reconcile bank statements
- Investigate and resolve any payment posting errors or discrepancies
- Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of payments
- Generate reports and provide data analysis related to cash applications as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in cash applications or accounts receivable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- MAS 200, D365, Dynamics AX experience a plus
