The Opportunity:

 

Shutterstock is seeking a finance professional to take on the role of Cash Application Specialist to help manage the receivables for our European & APAC market. In this role you will be responsible for cash application, account reconciliations, client outreach, and cash research. The role will also include collaborating with other team members to settle all open receivables, ensuring a positive experience and outcome for the company, the customer, and/or partner. Additionally, this role will be expected to provide support for sales organization.

 

Note: This role is employed on a fixed term contract basis for one (1) year with the potential for permanent employment agreement thereafter.

The Day to Day:

  • Effectively manage the accounts receivable for our European & APAC customers and collaborate across functions with other team members

  • Communicate directly with customers and clients regarding unapplied payments

  • Carry out complicated reconciliations over numerous accounts.

  • Researches and responds to inquiries from clients regarding payment issues,

  • Maintain precise records on all outstanding payments, discrepancies & application efforts

  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement.

  • Prepare cashapp reports, KPI’s and other accounts receivable related analytics. 

  •  Execute ad hoc projects as directed by senior management.

  

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated prior Accounts Receivable/Business to business payment application experience

  • Experience of  ERP solutions and financial reporting systems with a working knowledge of accounts receivable-related accounting concepts (We use Workday, but we can train you on that)

  • Intermediate Excel skills are a must

  • Fluent in English

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in a client-facing role

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with additional emphasis on customer contact, financial statements analysis and crisis management.

Bonus Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is desired but not required
