FundThrough is looking for a diligent and resourceful Cash Application Analyst to join us on our mission to help business owners end the “wait” associated with payment terms.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure payments are processed in compliance with FundThrough's policies and procedures
- Communicate with clients/customers and gather data to post payments in our system
- Maintain detailed records on clients and their customers
- Proactively evaluate clients needs and challenges, to meet their cash flow needs
- Ensure payments are posted no later than 1 business day
- Retrieve electronic payment data from various bank accounts
- Apply payments accurately and timely to client accounts
- Perform analysis of payment history and account reconciliation
- Reconcile client balances with a strong focus on solving payment discrepancies
- Troubleshoot and find creative solutions when regular system tools aren't working
- Conduct research for undefined customer accounts and/or over-payments
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Risk, Client Success, Product and Collections
Requirements
- Passion for our mission of empowering small businesses to thrive
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in cash applications
- Minimum of a high school degree, ideally a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance and accounting
- Intermediate technical skills, (we use Slack, Gsuite, and Excel)
- You love to Google
- You are able to maintain quality in external and internal customer interactions
- You have excellent professional communication and presentation skills
- You maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in your work
- English Proficiency- C1 and above
- Fast learner who can adapt easily
- Bonus points: Understanding or experience in the factoring industry, asset based lending, purchase order finance or other alternative funding structures
