LEGAL VICTIM ASSISTANCE CASE MANAGER (PART-TIME)

Location: Astoria, NY 11102
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM (20 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: $22.00 per hour
Reports To: Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY

The Legal Victim Assistance Case Manager provides advocacy, case management, and support services to victims of crime and their families. The successful candidate will assist clients with accessing benefits, navigating legal and social service systems, and connecting to community resources that promote safety, stability, and recovery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct client intakes, assessments, and case management services.
• Assist clients with social service, immigration, and victim assistance applications.
• Maintain case files and documentation in electronic case management systems.
• Provide referrals, advocacy, and support services to clients.
• Assist with protective orders, Office of Victim Services applications, and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with community agencies, courts, and law enforcement when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all program requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• One (1) year of case management, victim services, or human services experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain strict confidentiality.

Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting is required.
