Intro/Program Description: Goddard Riverside invests in people & strengthens community, serving more than 20,000 people throughout New York City with a variety of programs for all ages. Goddard Riverside is part of the Integrated Support Hotel Program. Hillside Hotel will provide services to single adults working towards obtaining permanent housing.
Purpose of Position: Hillside is looking for a dynamic Case Manager to join the team to promote quality and integrity of all social service activities. This person will be an advocate for families to assist in minimizing barriers to services.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8AM-4PM
Salary Range: $43,000 to $50,000
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential DutiesRoles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties
- Provide case management services to a caseload of approximately 25 families.
- Utilize evidence-based practice models including person centered planning, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, culturally sensitive, and strengths-based approach to families.
- Monitor compliance with goals through regular weekly contacts.
- Perform culturally sensitive intake, assessment, service planning, and advocacy.
- Work closely with shelter staff to enforce rules and regulations for residents.
- Coordinate interpretation and translation services.
- Assist school liaison with troubleshooting with NYC Department of Education (DOE) on student registration, school placement, attendance, and transportation.
- Refer and follow up on community-based medical, dental, and mental healthcare as needed.
- Refer to childcare services as needed.
- Assist with residential groups/activities as needed.
- Maintain client case records and enter document in a timely manner.
- Attend staff meetings, case conferences, training programs and supervision meetings; participate in program evaluation and improvement.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Bilingual preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field, strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services.
- Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to negotiate numerous priorities, resolve conflicts, and manage a high degree of communication with multiple parties.
- Excellent judgement
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn database systems, such as CARES

- Occasional lifting, up to 30 lbs.
