Position Summary
Performs supportive duties for the Risk Management Call Center, including taking reports from customers, clients, and employees of the organization, so that risk management freight exceptions and OS&D reports may be processed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Receives Risk Management calls and reports related to occurrences of freight OS&D (over, short and damaged), freight exceptions, load shift, overweight, freight rework, and hazardous materials.
- Maintains Risk Management information and procedures, including customer and vendor contact information.
- Processes Risk Management correspondence to appropriate involved parties as needed.
- Reports OS&D occurrences and freight exceptions in accordance with customer requirements.
- Administers the process of tracking, securing, and redelivering rejected freight.
- Assists in determining salvage of refused freight and participates in salvage sales.
- Researches, compiles, and tracks reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence related to customer freight exceptions.
- Processes OSD related payments and logs financial information in occurrence records.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with others.
- Receives and carries out instructions.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associates degree; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
