Your opportunity
We are seeking Permanent Part Time Carers to join Carlingford House
Afternoon Shift and Night Shift Availability Required
As a Carer at Carlingford House, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.
With kindness and understanding, you will:
Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.
What you’ll bring
You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
You will also have:
A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
An understanding of the importance of maintaining residents’ dignity and independence.
Alignment with Anglicare’s Christian ethos and values.
