Xello is looking for a Career & Work-Based Learning Coordinator (Wisconsin)__Who are you?

You are a highly driven individual with integrity, strong initiative, and exceptional interpersonal skills. You are naturally curious, energized by outreach, and genuinely enjoy getting to know people by bringing empathy, humor, and authenticity into every conversation. You thrive when something new is being built and you enjoy contributing to how a program grows over time.

For the first time, Wisconsin will have a statewide system that connects employers and schools to create meaningful student experiences. You will be central to making this vision real, ensuring employers feel supported, educators have access to high-quality opportunities, and students gain the work-based learning (WBL) experiences that prepare them for their futures.

You are passionate about cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and education stakeholders. You see yourself as a connector who bridges K-12 education and industry to create valuable opportunities for students. You are comfortable taking the lead, steering conversations, and helping partners understand both the value and the logistics of high-quality WBL experiences.

Working with Xello teams and statewide partners, you will encourage Wisconsin employers to participate in career-based and WBL programs and support educators in bringing these opportunities to life. You will articulate the value of WBL for local communities, help ensure employer needs are met, and play a critical role in administering Wisconsin's new statewide WBL system.

This role will be based remotely in Wisconsin, USA.

  • Explain the benefits of providing WBL opportunities for students and the value to Wisconsin's workforce ecosystem
  • Administer the statewide WBL and career-based learning experiences (CBLE) system, including account creation, opportunity updates, and background check coordination
  • Present Xello and the Wisconsin WBL initiative to employers, regional organizations, and partner groups
  • Provide training, technical support, and guidance on best practices to employers who are offering or interested in offering WBL opportunities
  • Create and deliver support resources for employers, educators, students, and families
  • Collaborate with regional partners such as chambers of commerce, workforce boards, Inspire Wisconsin, and CESAs (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) to expand the number and quality of WBL opportunities
  • Gather employer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the statewide employer experience within the platform
  • Support regional and local administrators through training, troubleshooting, and best practice sharing
  • Work collaboratively with Xello's success, onboarding, and training teams to support consistent statewide implementation
  • Serve as a connector between state, regional, and local groups that are working to strengthen Wisconsin's talent pipeline

What we’re looking for…
  • 2+ years of results-driven experience in employer engagement, outreach, sales, work-based learning (WBL) or career and technical education (CTE) coordination, or community partnership development
  • A proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships and deliver value with every interaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to groups and representing statewide initiatives
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage planning, prioritization, and information with accuracy and attention to detail
  • A track record of self-direction, motivation, and follow-through in fast-moving or evolving environments
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and partner organizations
  • Enthusiasm for learning and using new technologies, and supporting others in doing the same
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce and proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Understanding of WBL frameworks, CTE, labor market trends, or employer-education partnerships (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin's PI 26 requirements, Career Readiness Standards, or statewide Academic and Career Planning (ACP) initiatives (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin and possess a valid driver's license

The compensation for this role offers a range from $65,000 to $90,000 USD base with a $5,000 USD incentive. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise, as assessed during the interview process. The start date for this role is flexible.
