Career Services:
Career Services (CS) provides comprehensive career services and programs to assist a diverse student population in developing, evaluating, and effectively initiating and implementing career, education, and employment decisions and plans through collaborative internal partnerships with UCF administrators, faculty, and staff, as well as effective external partnerships with key employers.
The Opportunity:
The Career Services Coordinator serves as a bridge between STEM students, faculty, and industry partners on the Employer Relations team. This cross-functional role supports the Dixon Career Development Center alongside the Colleges of Engineering & Computer Science, Optics & Photonics, and Sciences. Key responsibilities include coordinating employer recruiting events and interview room requests, supporting large-scale events like the Internship & Career EXPO, developing career programming, designing marketing materials on platforms like Handshake and uConnect, and engaging STEM student organizations. The role blends operational and creative skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Event Support & Coordination:
Coordinate and support employer-led, on-campus recruiting activities, including tabling events, information sessions, and lunch-and-learns for STEM industries.
Manage the logistics for on-campus interview room requests, including setting up calendar invites and providing day-of assistance for employers and STEM-related student organizations.
Provide general support for internal large-scale events, including the Internship & Career EXPO, ProConnect Networking Panel, Career Readiness Program, EXPO Fast Pass, and others as needed.
Partnership Engagement:
Support dedicated initiatives with College of Engineering & Computer Science, College of Optics & Photonics, and College of Sciences by responding to faculty inquiries, partner panel requests, assisting with events and programs, and delivering classroom presentations upon request.
Engage with STEM-related student organizations to promote career services, support career readiness skill development, gather student feedback, and connect members directly with industry representatives.
Assist in the development and execution of specialized workshops, presentations, and programs related to career development and employer relations.
Execute exclusive employer sponsor benefits, including coordinating semester information emails, reserving interview rooms, facilitating on-campus recruitment activities, and managing social media takeovers.
Operations Support:
Maintain and coordinate the backend routing of interview room requests via Qualtrics and Handshake.
Monitor and analyze employer feedback, including conducting employer satisfaction surveys, to identify areas of improvement and enhance overall career services offerings.
Address employer requests and concerns professionally, developing equitable solutions such as managing waitlists when interview space is limited.
Regularly utilize Handshake to review and approve employer-hosted events, create and manage internal career services event postings, and maintain overall platform engagement.
Marketing & Communications:
Create and distribute branded marketing materials for upcoming events and initiatives across platforms such as Handshake, uConnect, social media, and campus partner platforms.
Ensure all internal and external email communications, calendar invites, and promotional materials are accurate, professional, and consistent.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous higher education experience, preferably institutional experience.
Experience in student support, event coordination, or employer relations.
Previous project management experience, including use of project management tools or software.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.29 - $24.86. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
