Indiana Connections Academy (INCA) is a tuition-free, virtual public charter school for students in grades K-12 throughout Indiana. INCA is authorized by Ball State University and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Indiana Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Indiana, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. The school was founded in 2010, as part of the Indiana Department of Education Virtual School Pilot Program, and became a charter school in the fall of 2011. INCA is accredited by Cognia.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Working from a home office in Indiana, the Manager of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programming will develop and implement processes and procedures that support a high-quality CTE and work-readiness program for all secondary students. This role collaborates closely with the School Leader, High School Principal, and Director of School Counseling to design, refine, and evaluate the effectiveness of CTE initiatives.
The CTE Manager oversees the school’s career development, workplace-readiness, and STEAM initiatives, ensuring alignment with state expectations. This individual is responsible for monitoring state requirements and maintaining school-wide compliance related to work-readiness standards, STEAM certification and integration, career and college readiness benchmarks, and internship programming.
Other key responsibilities include the following:
● Support the school’s leadership team in implementing and monitoring the school improvement plan and goals;
● Manage the implementation of Indiana Connections Academy operational protocols;
● Facilitate communication between high school electives teachers, counselors, administration, Learning Coaches, and students;
● Motivate and supervise high school elective staff in pursuit of school goals;
● Support student achievement and performance;
● Monitor the school year cycle and help to hold teachers accountable to the school year cycle duties and tasks;
● Coach and guide teachers in the virtual instruction process pertaining to CTE programming;
● Manage reconciliation between Connections Academy’s data systems and state and local student information systems;
● Provide state testing support, including travel, testing site oversight, and student participation;
● Support the Marketing Department with student outreach, marketing, and public relations pertaining to CTE programming;
● Stay current on federal and state policies, procedures, and legislation;
● Oversee staff professional development; and
● All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
● Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (preferred)
● Master’s degree
● Valid Indiana Administrator’s license
● Experience with STEAM programming preferred
● Administrative or management experience within a school environment
● Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
● Possess superior perseverance, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
● Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office products)
● Experience in managing people (preferred)
● Ability to travel as-needed
