McLeod Health is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join McLeod Cardiology, serving patients at both McLeod Cardiology Carolina Forest and McLeod Cardiology Seacoast.
McLeod Cardiology is a well-established cardiovascular practice committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered cardiac care across the Grand Strand region. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team of experienced cardiologists and advanced practice providers while caring for a diverse patient population in a primarily outpatient setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in the outpatient setting, including patient evaluations, follow-up visits, disease management, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians Anne Everman, MD and Nathan Almeida, MD, as well as a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Manage a variety of cardiac conditions while promoting preventive care, patient education, and continuity of care.
- Team Composition: Join a thriving cardiology practice consisting of 12 physicians and 9.5 Advanced Practice Providers across three locations, supported by an experienced clinical and administrative staff.
- Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Patient Mix:
- Outpatient care: 99%
- Inpatient care: 1% (weekend hospital coverage only)
- Daily Patient Volume:
- Typically 17-22 patients per day, depending on provider experience and progression through onboarding.
- Participate in a structured onboarding program that includes rotating and shadowing with experienced APPs at both practice locations, as well as direct training with supervising physicians. During weeks 3-4 of orientation, providers will gradually begin seeing patients independently under the guidance of experienced team members. Orientation typically lasts 4-6 weeks and is tailored to the individual's experience level.
- Weekend Coverage: Participate in shared hospital coverage approximately every 8-10 weekends as part of the APP team.
- Call Schedule: No call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification required.
