Overview 

The Capture Manager, Senior plays a critical role in driving business growth by identifying, strategizing, and securing new opportunities within government programs. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, relationship management, and market analysis to effectively position the company for success in competitive business environments. 

Responsibilities 

  • Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to identify potential business opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and challenges 
  • Formulate strategic plans to capture identified opportunities, including defining value propositions and differentiators. Developing and implementing capture plans tailored to government programs. 
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, marketing, and product development teams, to ensure a cohesive approach to capturing new business. 
  • Oversee the bid process, from pre-solicitation through proposal submission, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and deadlines. 
  • Lead negotiation efforts with clients and partners to secure contracts that align with business goals. 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of capture strategies and processes, making adjustments as needed to improve future outcomes.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to win contracts. 
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate value propositions and engage with clients. 
  • Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating terms and conditions to secure favorable contracts. 
  • Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority. 
  • Market Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing market trends and competitive landscapes. 
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders. 
  • Understanding of Regulations: Deep knowledge of government regulations and contracting practices, especially in sectors like federal government contracting. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. 
  • Master’s degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. 
  • PhD with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience with Program management, business development or capture management for government contracting and DoD agencies. 
  • Technical background or understanding of C4ISR, Cyber Security, Networks, 
  • Artificial Intelligence and Logistics Lifecycle Support programs 
  • 6 years of business development/capture management or program management experience with systems mentioned above. 
  • Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to be considered for this role.
