Where will you work: - Esterhazy, CA K2
Mosaic Potash Esterhazy K2 is currently seeking a Capital Project Engineer (I, II, or III). The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of projects varying between Asset Sustaining, Opportunity, and Large Capital at our Esterhazy K2 location. Tasks relating to this job include preliminary or detailed project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating and management, procurement, supervision, execution, and construction management.
What will you be Responsible For?
- Project execution and management of capital projects of varying size and complexity
- Responsible for safety, scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Responsible for contractor management and driving a positive safety culture
- Project administration including project approvals, funding approvals, and contract approvals
- Technical design of projects and oversite of third-party engineering
- Cost control including developing estimates and budgets and providing monthly forecasting for projects
- Schedule development and reporting
- Engineering design (developing engineering work packages for projects)
- Construction oversite in an industrial environment
- Department initiatives (non-project specific engineering, project management process definition)
- Site and company initiatives to support safety, production, expansion and maintenance.
- Technical/personal development and coaching others (contractors, trades, training courses, etc.)
What do you need for this role?
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required - All Disciplines considered. Preference for candidates with experience in Project Management and/or Industrial construction
- Broad engineering and construction knowledge in all disciplines is an asset
- Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, teamwork and problem solving/decision making qualities
- Computer Skills in MS Office Suite are required
- Engineering Software skills required
- Knowledge of PLC and DCS Systems
- Highly Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
- We will consider a lower Engineer Designation if candidate has fewer years of experience
- Must be able to work in an Industrial Facility
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training
Engineer I
- 0 to 2 years of engineering experience
Engineer II
- 2+ years of engineering experience
Engineer III
- 4+ years of Engineering experience
Engineer Sr.
- 8+ years of Engineering experience
