The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Manage project timelines and budgets for assigned projects
• Lead a cross functional team to execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Interact with multiple discipline teams including 3M plant personnel, consultants, and suppliers
• Estimate capital equipment and installation costs
• Protect 3M intellectual property

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
• Three (3) year of combined experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or project management in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Five (5) year of combined experience in Capital equipment and/or Facilities project management in a private, public, government or military environment
• Prior experience with web line, converting, material handling, or automation equipment
• Team player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environment
• Experience designing, specifying, debugging, and commissioning custom equipment a plus
• Proficient user of typical business, office, and technical software for tasks such as spreadsheet computation, project presentation, scheduling, managing budgets and AutoCAD.

Work Location:

• This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employees to work at least four days a week at Hutchinson, MN

Travel:  May include up to 10% primarily domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $98,964 - $120,957, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
