WSFS’s Capital Markets team works with Clients by delivering market risk management products and creative structuring strategies to commercial developers, middle market corporations, small businesses, and high-net worth individuals. Our Interest Rate Hedging team engages with commercial borrowers to offer competitive and customized lending solutions using swaps and other derivative hedging instruments. Our International Services team helps individuals and companies minimize cross-border currency and counterparty risk with more efficient and effective payment practices using a variety of Foreign Exchange and Trade Finance product capabilities.

The Capital Markets Interest Rate Analyst is responsible for developing, structuring, and executing interest rate risk management solutions for prospects and clients.  The primary offered products include interest rate swaps, caps, collars, and other interest rate derivative instruments.  The role will partner with Commercial Relationship Managers along with the operations, credit, risk and legal departments to leverage opportunities and increase the utilization of Capital Markets products and services.  This position will be a key support person to the Capital Markets IR Marketers and Capital Markets leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pricing and execution of interest rate derivative transactions.
  • Manage ISDA and loan documentation process for client deals.
  • Credit exposure modeling and reporting.
  • Provide support to the Commercial Relationship Managers and Bank Clients in structuring, preparing, and administering interest rate derivative products.
  • Coordinate transaction documentation with Clients and dealer banks from pre-trade discussions through trade execution and administration.
  • Confirm economic details of all transactions pre- and post-trade.   
  • Support the Capital Markets IR Marketers and team management in the development and expansion of new and existing business.
  • Prepare marketing materials, Client presentations, call reports and other business development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, math or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Interest Rate Hedging or related field.
  • An understanding of Capital Markets products, which are sold by a regional financial institution.
  • The ability to comprehend credit concepts and exposure analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of pricing analytics and market dynamics for interest rate derivative products.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and resourcefulness in all interactions with employees, colleagues and internal and external Clients.
