As a Capital Markets Functional Analyst, you stand out for your mastery of complex ecosystems, including multiple applications and integration points both internal and external toward service providers. You analyze business leaders’ needs, help them define their needs and guide them in the appropriate functional solutions while respecting budgetary commitments and delivery times. You guide the development teams in their analyses and solve operational problems that arise during projects, so that the proposed solutions are consistent and factor in user needs, system architecture and constraints. You help to coordinate projects between execution teams and the project committee. You also help to configure software. More specifically, you will be required to:

Act as a coordinator/leader in the planning, design and execution of projects

Work with the product owner and project team to define functional specifications and exceptions

Cocreate with business partners to define needs and manage backlogs

Help define the various scopes (stories, releases, sprints, projects, tests)

Define and run automated and/or manual tests within your scope (specific cases/exceptions)

Prepare or update required documentation
-
Collaborate on and/or manage incidents and problems under your responsibility
-
Collaborate, as a specialist, on the feasibility or detailed design of the solution
-
Advise and guide the development team and product owner by recommending different functional alternatives aligned with the architecture

Work with the architect to develop functional testing strategies

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field
-
A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years as a functional analyst

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Knowledge of French is required

Advanced proficiency of English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Proficiency in IT and information systems

Knowledge of the capital markets or securities industry
