Summary of Role
The Analyst / Associate, Capital Markets will be responsible for capital markets activities spanning across capital raising, execution, and modeling work to support the advancement of those opportunities. This is an individual contributor role.
Strategic & Tactical
- Focus on developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Responsible for reporting associated with Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders, while partnering with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
- Utilizes skills to enhance existing processes and workflows for more efficiency, partnering closely with other teams e.g. Data Analytics, Operations, etc
- Liaisons with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure partnership and transparency on all things Palmetto Finance
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key banks and other key external partners
- Is highly attuned to customer needs and requirements, and can anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; master’s or MBA a plus
- 3-5+ years of experience in banking or capital markets; solar industry experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
- Proactively identifies improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implements solutions and updates them
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams in Finance & Accounting, Technology etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; can present to varying audiences and leaders
