Join us as a Capital Forecasting Manager
- In this role, you’ll manage capital plans for regulated legal entities to make sure there’s supply to meet the demand over the planning horizon for base and stress scenarios
- Day-to-day, you’ll support capital planning activities within Treasury as you meet and exceed regulatory expectations and maintain market standards. You will also be supporting wider bank Asset & Liability management and monitoring RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets) developments

What you’ll do
We’ll need you to make sure that capital planning activities are robust, controlled and reflect clear, hand on and hand off between stakeholders. To do this, you’ll work with various internal stakeholders to demonstrate a clear end-to-end process for policies and MI reporting.
Alongside this, you’ll make sure that capital plans reflect both legal entity and franchise needs and provide analysis on our annual capital risk appetite framework at an organisational and solo legal entity level, while maintaining an agreed capital allocation approach.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Working to understand the policy developments that impact regulatory capital management
- Supporting the capital needs of our major business capital entities
- Making sure that the capital resources are deployed efficiently
- Supporting the development of dividend plans and, where relevant, instigating capital restructurings in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
- Supporting wider bank Asset & Liability management within Treasury
- Monitoring RWA developments
- Demonstrating continuous development in the field of policies, processes and controls, MI reporting and the associated field of resolution planning
The skills you’ll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a background in treasury, risk or finance and have a relevant accounting qualification. You’ll also have the ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and good influencing and negotiating skills. Capital management skills would be advantageous.
Furthermore, you’ll need:
- Experience of managing relationships with stakeholders
- The ability to challenge opinions and to offer alternative solutions
