The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing onsite execution of large-scale greenfield project. This role oversees detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities—ensuring delivery meets Ingredion’s standards for safety (EHS&S), quality, schedule, and cost.

The Project Manager acts as the primary onsite leader, driving execution excellence, contractor performance, and successful transition to operations.

What you will do:

  • Safety Leadership – Champion a “Zero Injury Mindset” culture. spearhead 100% compliance with Ingredion’s EHS standards and India regulatory requirements. Lead and participate in safety programs including HAZOP, MOC, Risk Assessments, and incident reporting. Actively supervise contractor safety programs and conduct regular site safety reviews and audits.
  • Execution Excellence – Ensure EPCm and site contractors comply with the project execution plan, contractual obligations, and EHS policies. Drive construction resource planning and productivity tracking Act as the primary onsite representative for project execution, overseeing construction, safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Manage daily onsite project activities and provide leadership to resolve critical issues.
  • Contractor Management – Lead communication between EPCm contractor, local contractors, equipment vendors, and corporate teams. Ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor and report on contractor performance and ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Project Controls – Monitor project progress against the master schedule and approved budgets. Provide accurate and timely reporting on project KPIs, risks, and mitigation plans. Support procurement and contract management processes as required to maintain schedule and cost control.
  • Commissioning and Handover – Drive construction completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Lead site-based activities to achieve mechanical completion and successful handover to operations. Support project close-out including punch list resolution, documentation, and final handover.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Proven project management experience in industrial projects in food, starch, pharmaceutical, chemical industry or EPCm environments.
  • Demonstrated experience completing and commissioning LARGE greenfield projects, with value of USD 50 million & above.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong working knowledge of EHS standards and compliance, including work permits, LOTO, and contractor safety management.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools), and AutoCAD review capability.
